Looking to the Future: Ree Circularity Platform 2.0
In the ever-evolving landscape of sustainable waste management, the transition to a circular economy is more critical than ever. As we strive to reduce the amount of material going into landfill, we are always looking to innovate and the Ree circularity platform 2.0 is here to lead the charge.
The Journey So Far
Back in 2021, when we started Ree, it was an At Home Recycling Solution for individuals. Thanks to our great service we were quickly being asked whether we could provide the same service to our members' offices, and so the concept of the Ree Circularity Platform was born.
As with any start up, especially in the sustainability sphere, money is always an issue. Due to this we’ve been using our B2C platform to serve our B2B customers. Although it worked perfectly there have been a number of updates we wanted to make that weren’t possible with the current build. For that reason we’ve rebuilt the Ree circularity platform from the ground up to provide our clients with the best possible platform to understand and reduce their waste.
What’s New in 2.0?
The 2.0 build of the Ree Circularity Platform is set to introduce several features designed to enhance user experience and drive greater impact for both our individual members and corporate clients:
Advanced Analytics and Reporting: The new version will offer more sophisticated data analytics, enabling users to gain deeper insights into their recycling efforts. This includes real-time tracking of waste streams, contamination rates, and diversion metrics.
Greater Material depth: Not all plastic is the same and so the Ree Circularity Platform now allows users to drill down into different categories within a material type. For example, we now track PET, LDPE, HDPE and more in the plastic category.
Primary and Sub accounts: Have multiple locations within the business? Now we will have the option to have a primary account for HQ and Sub accounts for each location allowing the Primary account to see how each of their locations is performing
Gamification and Incentives: To encourage greater participation, the 2.0 build will incorporate gamification elements.
Individual members can earn points, which have a 1-2-1 AED value, that they can exchange for various items or gift to worthy causes.
Corporate clients can create challenges within their organisation to see which department or location perform best towards their sustainability goals.
Improved Efficiency: More of a back-end update but important nonetheless.
The efficiency of our collection and delivery route generation will be optimised to reduce the carbon footprint of the vehicles.
